Mica Miller died by suicide on April 27, 2024, at the Lumber River State Park in Robeson County. Since then, the details surrounding her death have gained national interest due to the accusations made against her husband, South Carolina pastor John Paul Miller. Mica, who allegedly died by suicide, called 911 to ensure authorities could trace her phone to a wooded area where she was found dead, according to released audio. She threatened suicide during the call with the dispatcher. Last February, she told police she had known her husband since she was 10 years old and that he “groomed” her while she worked for John-Paul at Solid Rock Church, up to the point they were married in 2018, per the report.
