When working on your writing skills or any craft for that matter, you tend to have ups and downs. But when good things happen to us, it’s reflected in our performance and general vibration towards the outside world. When I was a paid writer/editor for publications that cover things I’m not as passionate about, starting an article was a drag. I crunched them out to meet my quota, five pieces in one-day sometimes and rushed ones at that. I barely had a sense of structure and general etiquette.
Now that I do something that my inner fire demands as a necessity, not a “hobby,” crunching a decent article can take up to 3 days. But lately, I’m getting way more productive and effective, as I noticed two things. Happiness is a state of mind, and we must try and win small battles every day. Despite censorship and all the other bullshit, I’m glad I can still say I feel genuine happiness from time to time. I’m finding out I’m tougher than I thought. I’m now crunching a daily article 2000-words article and even have some leftover times for film editing.
Grammarly and Yoast SEO
IIf you are a writer in any shape or form, I wholeheartedly recommend the use of assisting apps. Grammarly and the Yoast SEO plugin are a lifesaver, and more important to some, they are FREE. The mixture of perfect tools can tweak your writing skills close to perfection in no time. It took me like two months to get the hang of it, but now I’m getting the wanted results. My confidence as a writer is at an all-time high. I cannot believe I wasn’t using these tools ages ago. Being honest and all, I was making an incorrect use of them. Maybe I wasn’t pushing myself as hard, now I am. Cheers!
